Barneys New York: Product & Home Design
While at Barneys New York, I was the sole designer on the New Business Strategy Team, overseeing the design for the company’s proprietary brands, including Connor New York and Lisa Perry. I led the creative direction for both new and existing designs, developed marketing launch strategies, and supported the production process from concept to store delivery.
After product launches, I collaborated with the Barneys retail team to ensure effective merchandising and display arrangements in-store.
The Connor Brand
Connor is a luxury stationery, home decor, and lifestyle brand sold at Barneys New York, known for its artisanal quality and iconic motifs. All products are hand-engraved, stamped, and packaged for superior quality.
As the sole designer, I created 7 collections from ideation to production, while also leading social and marketing efforts.

In addition to stationery, we expanded our motifs to home products like calendars, door hangers, paperweights, and cocktail napkins. For each item, I conceptualized the designs and created mockups, then liaised with manufacturers for production. Afterward, I directed all photo shoots, collaborating with the photo team to create visual assets for marketing and social media promotion.
Lisa Perry Vinyl Placemats
For Lisa Perry Home, another proprietary brand at Barneys, I designed 5 reversible placemats inspired by Perry’s bold, colorful ready-to-wear collections. After multiple design iterations, I worked with Lisa Perry, the Barneys CMO, and the SVP of Home to finalize the designs. Once approved, I oversaw production, coordinated with manufacturers, and guided the marketing team on photo shoots and social media promotion.
Stationery Collections
Aiming to target a millennial audience, we created seven themed collections for different months that would inspire younger people to use correspondence cards, bringing back the love and appreciation for handwritten notes. This idea provided a fresh aspect to our traditional brand, helping to broaden our current buyers and increase profit sales.
Wax Monogram Collection
In February 2019, we launched the wax monogram collection for our "Write Love Notes Again" campaign. The collection featured hand-stamped, calligraphed letters in over 10 colors. I worked with a calligrapher to refine each letter and assisted in assembling influencer marketing orders.
Pet Collection
In April 2019, we launched a pet collection for National Pet Month. I created the French Bulldog motif and hand-designed the typography. The cards were available individually or as a mixed trio.
Travel Collection
In June 2019, we launched a travel collection featuring elegant, simple cards ideal for vacation letters. Inspired by Italian signage, I designed custom typography for the collection.
Brand Partnerships
Connor x La Fleur
In February 2019, Connor created a partnership with La Fleur Bouquets for a Valentine’s Day special. The collaboration included a $500 giveaway and an in-store trunk show, which led to a highly successful outcome with 78% sell-through. Based on this success, Connor brought back a second collection in May 2019 for Mother’s Day.
For both collections, I worked closely with La Fleur’s CEO to select bouquet colors, organized and managed the trunk show, and handled the art direction for all visual assets associated with the campaign
Connor x The High End
In April 2019, Connor launched two marijuana-inspired collections for Barneys New York’s The High End. The first was a collaboration with Scott Campbell, featuring items like correspondence cards and paperweights, all designed on hemp paper. The second, "Lit Up," was a playful stationery line with marijuana-themed sayings and perforated filters for joints.
For both collections, I managed the creative direction, development, and marketing from start to finish.
Marketing & Social Promotion
Along with product creation, I also assisted with marketing efforts and social promotion. This included assisting the marketing manager with the Connor Instagram and acting as a liaison with the marketing team to create a detailed monthly launch plan for each collection. For social, I helped increase engagement and brand awareness by creating illustrations and curating posts that helped consumers interact with our products.
